  18. <p>     The Baby Boss was born in the U.S.A., all right. In Los
  19. Angeles, though, a continent away from his folks' native New
  20. Jersey. In a doorway to the garden of his Hollywood Hills home,
  21. Bruce Springsteen, 40, and Patti Scialfa, 37, were proud as any
  22. first-time parents as they posed with their four-day-old son
  23. Evan James. These days the offspring of older rock stars are
  24. making their name in music. It'll be a while before young
  25. Springsteen can pull on jeans, knot a red bandanna around his
  26. head and grab a guitar. Until then, there's always Papa Boss.
